Elke Foltz (b. 1990) is a French painter based in Berlin, working on large-scale canvases using ink and oil paint. She graduated in Applied Arts and then worked directly as an independent graphic designer and illustrator in France. In 2020, she developed and focused her practice as a painter in Berlin.
Her abstract compositions are inspired by nature, depicting moments of life based on memories and what surrounds her. She creates a link between memory and imagination as a way to connect to her Senegalese roots, having grown up in France. She also finds inspiration in the everyday as a way to anchor herself in the present.
In 2025, her work was shown in Berlin for her first solo show, Balance in Chaos, at Circle Culture Gallery, and at fairs, notably Art Taipei 2025 with Rich Art Gallery.
